Hello Picasso! Get creative with a night of painting, wine, and fun. Jacksonville has several studios around town where you can paint with your girlfriends, and bring your own wine and snacks. You can book a spot in one of their nightly sessions, or get a group big enough to book your own private party. Here’s a list of studios in town:

Chef’s Cooking Studio in Ponte Vedra offers fun cooking classes each month. Chef Andrea hosts classes such as “Perfect Pizza,” “Perfect Pasta,” ” Favorite Seafood on the Grill,” and “Shellfish Workshop.” Check out their calendar of events and book a night out at one of their cooking classes!
Bold, fruity, with a hint of spice?
Test out your wine tasting skills at Ovinte at the St. Johns Town Center. This place has a chic atmosphere, yummy tapas and great wine flights.
Cheers! Why not keep it easy and meet the ladies at a fun restaurant around town. If you’re out at the beaches, hit up The Flying Iguana in Neptune Beach, Taco Lu, Bonefish, or JAXON Social. At the St. Johns Town Center, try Cantina Laredo, Moxie, or Blackfinn. In the Riverside/Avondale area, try BB’s, Bistro Aix, Restaurant Orsay, Black Sheep (on the roof), or Biscotti’s.

A pottery and paint your own dish, plate, cup, mug, or bowl night may be the perfect night out! Doing Dishes hosts monthly “Wine and Design, ” “Ladies Night,” and “Mommy’s Night Out” events at their San Jose and Avondale locations. If you have a group, Planet Pottery Inc will stay open late in Atlantic Beach. You can also book a party or ladies night out at Pottery Works Inc off Baymeadows in Southside.
Try a new spin on dinner and a movie. Grab the gals and have dinner and a movie at these fun theaters. The San Marco Theatre offers dinner, drinks and a flick. This historic theater is located in downtown San Marco. You can walk around and shop the boutiques and check out the square beforehand. Sun Ray Cinema is located in Riverside and features seatside food service with beer and wine. This place also also features local food and drink from Bold Bean Coffee, Intuition & Bold City Beer, candy from Sweet Pete’s, and bread from Bakery Moderne. Latitude30, located in Southside, is also a fun spot to grab a bite, see a movie, go bowling, and even play a few games.

Ashes’ Tea House in Jacksonville Beach is a beautiful place to enjoy afternoon tea with the ladies. They are open Monday-Saturday 11am-3pm serving soup, salads, sandwiches and sweets. This shabby chic beach cottage is also great for events like birthday lunches and small bridal or baby showers. They also have a gorgeous boutique in the front of of the house.
Check out a Broadway show with The Artist Series Jacksonville at the Times Union Center for the Performing Arts-Moran Theater. The theater is located in downtown Jacksonville. You can grab a bite to eat at BB’s, Bistro Aix, Restaurant Orsay or Black Sheep. Then, head on over to the theater for a fun night out!
