You recently arrived in Jacksonville. You’ve figured out where the Home Depot is, the Costco, and the commissary. You have to leave about 20 minutes early before you go anywhere to budget for time spent getting lost. You’ve also probably realized that Jacksonville is extremely spread out and it takes awhile to get anywhere. If you moved here from the West Coast, it may take a few weeks for the directions to kick in. West no longer means, “water.” In order to get to the ocean, you’ll now need to take the highways East. Highway 202 is also known as JTB, or Butler Blvd. Once you get your bearings, it’ll be time to start making a new life here on the First Coast. Where to begin? Here are a few tips and resources to help make this transition easier.
First, download our “Welcome to Jacksonville eGuide.” This guide has information on things to do, The Jacksonville Bucket list, children’s activities, how to meet new people and so on.
